Dispatch received a hang-up 9-1-1 call from a residence in Riverside. Upon calling back the line was static. Spoke with the homeowner who has had problems with the home phone. No problem.
Caller in the 700 block of Eighth Avenue, Wellman, reports there are some raccoons in the basement. Requests a deputy assist. Subject called back to say they must have gotten out. He no longer hears them.
Caller in the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue, Wellman, reports a subject who continually drives by and the bass is blaring. Officer made contact with the owner who will handle this with his son who is driving the vehicle.
Caller reports a two-vehicle accident with no injuries in the east ditch of Highway 218 north of 130th street. Officer responded. Requested Riverside QRS for a female occupant complaining of shoulder pain. Operators Martha Louise Dahlin, 69, of Ainsworth and Janson Antonio Jones, 26, of Cedar Rapids. Jones cited for following too close. Both vehicles towed.
