Johnson County reports the previous house fire at 2563 Highway 1 SW, has rekindled and they need Kalona Fire Department to respond. Kalona Fire responded and requested mutual aid from Riverside Fire and Wellman Fire as well.

Caller in the 1000 block of Vine Avenue, Riverside, reports her son’s vehicle was backed into by another subject last night. Requesting a deputy respond to look at the damages. Officer responded. Occurred on private property. Owner will reach out to the other party to obtain insurance information. Documentation.

Caller in the 700 block of Seventh Avenue, Wellman, reports five to six dogs barking at the neighbors. Officer responded. Verbal warning given to the male subject. City Hall was also contacted and the next time a citation will be issued.

Caller in the 900 block of Ninth Street, Kalona, reports a male subject in a red car pulled up across the street and has been sitting there for the last one and a half hours. He appears to be watching the neighbors. Officer responded and made contact with the driver who was eating lunch and making a few phone calls. No problem, he will move along.

Caller in the 800 block of Ninth Avenue, Wellman, reports a dog outside a residence that has been barking all day. Responded. No one was at the residence. A neighbor will assist with shutting windows to quiet the dogs.
