Officer was out with a vehicle in the 300 block of Fifth Street, Kalona, after receiving a driving complaint. Counseled the driver who denied the allegations.
Deputy reports being enroute to a residence in the 400 block of Eighth Avenue, Wellman, in reference to allocated stolen item. Officer responded and took possession of the item. The agency where the item was stolen from was advised. Report to be filed.
Johnson County requests assistance for a vehicle fire in the 5300 block of Highway 1 SW, Kalona. The Kalona Fire Department responded and assisted.
Officer reports being out with a subject wanted out of Washington County. Arrested Willie Garrett, 42, of Wellman, for two warrants, first for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness. Bond $1,000 cash only. Second warrant for domestic abuse assault, no bond.
Caller in the 200 block of A Avenue, Kalona, reports someone is having an illegal fire. Officer responded and advised the owner of the local fire ordinance.
