Mary Ellen Driscoll was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of G. V. And Dorothy (Caldwell) Beliel. She graduated from Washington High School and Jr. College in Washington. On Aug. 16, 1950, Mary was united in marriage to Raymond Driscoll in Wellman. Together they owned and operated Driscoll Studio in Wellman for many years. Mary taught country school and later at Mid-Prairie schools. She enjoyed gardening, working and framing. Mary died on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, at Parkview Manor in Wellman at the age of 92 years.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law: Delores Cornwall of Iowa City and Iva Beliel of Wayland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother John Beliel.
A private graveside service was held Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at the Wellman Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Mid-Prairie Schools. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com
