Marlin Dale Miller was born Feb. 21, 1953, to Rudy D. and Mary (Schrock) Miller in rural Kalona. Marlin passed away peacefully at home, Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, surrounded by his family, following a short illness of liver cancer. He accepted Christ as his savior and remained faithful until his death. On May 26, 1977, he was united in marriage to Edith Magdalena Miller.
Surviving are his wife: Edith; and seven children: Lamar, Nita, and Sharon (Edwin) Miller all of Kalona, Twila Miller of Guthrie, Ky., Gareth (Diane) Miller of Reedsville, Wis., Lonnie (Carolyn) Miller of Kalona, and Rhonda Miller of Guthrie, Ky.; 10 grandchildren: Janice, John Sylvan, Beth, Curtis and Arlis Miller, Deanna, Crystal, and Larion Miller, Travis and Kaitlyn Miller; one brother: Eugene Miller of Kalona; seven aunts; and one uncle.
Proceeding in death are his parents: Rudy and Mary; granddaughter: Angela Faith Miller; and six uncles and four aunts.
Funeral service was held at the Miller residence, Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, with burial in the Peter-Miller Cemetery, rural Kalona.
