Johnson County requests Kalona Fire for a tree that is on fire in the 1600 block of 540th Street SW. Kalona Fire responded. Fire extinguished.
Caller in the 200 block of A Avenue, Kalona, requests a check on a subject at the residence. Officer responded. No answer at the door. Officer responded to another location per information from caller and spoke with the subject who advised it was all a misunderstanding. Everything is OK.
Caller reports a deer that has been hit and is in the south ditch at the intersection of Highway 22 and Juniper Avenue, Kalona. Deer is still alive but can’t get up.
Four children ages 4-8, stated they had not seen their mother for quite some time and are now playing in the ditch and roadway on D Avenue, Kalona. Responded to the area and located the children near their residence. Incident has been turned over to DHS.
