Lori Mostek was elected to a two-year term as president of the Kalona Historical Society Board of Directors at the board’s annual meeting at the Visitors Center on Thursday evening, Nov. 12.
Other officers elected to two-year terms were Martha Crawford, vice president; Teresa Fleming, secretary; Nate Fick, treasurer; and Carol Mayer, assistant treasurer.
Retiring president Jan Ferry will serve as past president. Directors elected to three-year board terms were Helen Slechta, Lori Mostek, Carol Mayer and Steve Reif. Other board members are Gerry Beeler, Jim Ferry and Tom Marsh.
Steve Reif is also executive director and Nancy Roth is managing director.
Margaret Miller was recognized after she retired from the board after serving as a director for 38 years, many of those years as treasurer. She was presented flowers and treated to cupcakes shared by the board.
