Lone Tree school board member Josh Zaruba has resigned from the board, and the district is looking for a replacement.
Interested residents in the Lone Tree Community School District can pick up an application form at the district office or find the form online on the district’s website.
“The Lone Tree school board and administration would like to thank Josh Zaruba for his time and energy serving the students, staff, and community of Lone Tree these past three years,” said Superintendent Ken Crawford. “The time and energy involved in being a board member is appreciated.”
Crawford said the board intends to appoint a replacement before the end of the month. The person appointed to this position will serve on the board until November 2021.
Registered voters in the district may petition to have the district fill the position with a special election. Petitions must be received by Kelli Forbes, the board secretary, by May 21. For details and petition requirements, contact Forbes at 319-629-4212.
Contact Crawford or Forbes at the district office if you have questions, 319-629-4212.
