WASHINGTON
In a written arraignment March 22 filed by his attorney, Keegan Gingerich of Kalona pled not guilty to four felony charges, including Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Stalking (two counts), and Purchase/Possess Depiction of Minor in Sex Act, with a jury trial set for June 21 in Washington County District Court.
Gingerich did not appear in person for the arraignment.
He was arrested February 2 and taken to Washington County Jail on charges that date to alleged incidents in January. His bail initially was set at $100,000; however, following a bond review hearing in March, it was reduced to $52,000, subsequently posted in the form of a surety bond.
Every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty.
