Kalona Public Library continues to be open by appointment and offering curbside pickup for our community and patrons. The building capacity has been increased to 15 patrons at a time. We continue to ask that all patrons practice social distancing and wear a mask. The Program Room is now open for meetings, clubs, etc. for groups of 8 people or less.

Storytime is being offered at the Kalona YMCA every Wednesday morning from 10:30 – 11:00am. Come join us for stories and engaging motion activities!

New adult fiction: “Faith’s Mountain Home” by Misty Beller; “Spin” by Patricia Cornwell; “Under the Alaskan Ice” by Karen Harper; “Irish Parade Murder” by Leslie Meier; “Outlawed” by Anna North.

New adult non-fiction: “iPad and iPad Pro for Dummies” by Edward Baig; “A History of the Second World War in 100 Maps” by Jeremy Black; “White Tears/Brown Scars: How White Feminism Betrays Women of Color” by Ruby Hamad; “The Sibley Guide to Birds” by David Sibley.

New junior non-fiction: “Weird but True! 2: 350 Outrageous Facts”; “Ron’s Big Mission” by Rose Blue; “I Am George Washington” by Brad Meltzer; “Sweden” by Amy Rechner.

New easy books: “Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach” by James Dean; “Sloth Wasn’t Sleepy” by Kate Messner; “The Paper Kingdom” by Helena Ku Rhee; “The Box Turtle” by Vanessa Roeder.

New Children’s DVDs: Adventures of Dally & Spanky; Paw Patrol: Rubble on the Double; Signing Time! Box of Crayons.
