Caller in the 1000 block of Ninth Avenue, Wellman, reports his dog injured a raccoon and needs assistance with dispatching and removing the animal. Officer made contact with a city worker that assisted in removing the animal.
Caller in the 400 block of Eighth Avenue, Wellman, reports a subject in a car all over the roadway. Male subject may be intoxicated. Officer responded and spoke with the male subject who is having vision trouble. He was advised not to drive until the issue is resolved.
Per Mar Security advised Wellman Elementary general fire alarm going off. Paged Wellman fire. Alarm company called back advising no fire. Disregarded all units.
Caller in the 200 block of A Avenue, Kalona, requests to speak with an officer regarding titles that her ex-boyfriend has and will not return to her. Officer spoke with the caller and advised her this is a civil matter.
Caller reports a male subject in a vehicle at the corner of the ball field in Kalona, has been asleep for 2 ½ hours. Responded. Operator of vehicle was just taking a nap.
Officer reports being out with a subject who is wanted on a Washington county warrant. Arrested Melanie Elizabeth Mathes, 30, Wellman, for violation of probation on original charge of possession of controlled substance methamphetamine 1st offense. Bond $1,000 cash only.
Caller in the 200 block of A Avenue, Kalona, reports lots of yelling and screaming. Responded. Verbal between male and female subject at the residence. They were inside upon arrival.
Deputy reports being out with a disabled vehicle in the 2900 block of Highway 22, Riverside. Officer spoke with the driver who advised they were just putting up a banner on the fence.
