A celebration of life for Judith Ann Yoder, 79, of Iowa City, will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.  Following a meal, burial will be in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Judith Yoder died Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at her home in Iowa City.  A memorial fund has been established for the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery.

Judith Ann (Guengerich) Yoder was born July 12, 1940, in Hesston, Kan., the daughter of Earl R. and Myrtle (Tompkins) Guengerich. 

She graduated from West Chester High School in 1959 where she was homecoming queen.  On June 5, 1959, she was united in marriage to Keith E. Yoder in Wellman.  They owned Kalona Standard and Kalona Tire, for which she was the bookkeeper. She enjoyed reading, singing, nature, listening to religious programming and was a meticulous seamstress.

Judy is survived by her daughter: Cynthia (David) Jacobson of Cedar Rapids; five siblings: LaWayne (Doneta) Guengerich of Austin, Texas, Wilson (Karen) Guengerich of Washington, Iowa, Lily (Lyle) Miller of Iowa City, Calvin (Angela) Guengerich of Amarillo, Texas, Marilyn Guengerich  (Mark Sykes) of Tuscon, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Judy in death were her parents; her husband: Keith; and her daughter: Debra.
