Caller in the 1200 block of Hickory Avenue, Wellman, reports a sedan with Missouri plates parked at the end of his driveway. Officer responded. Vehicle has a flat tire and subject does not have keys. Vehicle towed.
Caller reports a student ran out of the building without permission at Mid-Prairie High School. Requesting assistance. Staff is attempting to locate and return the student. Parents were contacted and the student returned to the building.
Caller requests Kalona Fire to an out of control grass fire in the 1700 block of Black Diamond Road SW. Kalona Fire and Kalona QRS responded. The fire was extinguished.
Caller reports a subject drove into the ditch near the Kalona car wash then drove to the Dollar General. They were all over the road. Requesting a welfare check. Officer responded to the vehicle owner’s residence but was unable to get anyone to answer the door.
Caller in the 1200 block of South Nutmeg Avenue, Kalona, reports a tractor on fire that is approximately 40 feet from a hog building. Kalona Fire and QRS responded. Fire extinguished.
Caller in the 400 block of B Avenue, Kalona, reports a possible violation of a no contact order. Officer responded. Nobody would answer the door.
Caller in the 400 block of Seventh Street, Kalona, reports not getting along with the female living at the residence. Officer responded and subject will get along for the rest of the night.
Report a white truck, possibly disabled, near the rendering plant on Highway 22. Unsure if someone is inside. No one around. Appears the vehicle overheated. Driver located and was walking home.
