Iowa County sheriff’s office requests Wellman Fire to the 3200 block of 320th Street for a structure fire with animals inside. Wellman fire, Wellman QRS and Wellman Rescue responded. North English Fire responded for mutual aid. Fire extinguished.

Caller in the 400 block of Seventh Street, Kalona, reports a violation of a no-contact order and harassment over social media. Officer spoke with the caller. He was encouraged to block the subject and change his password.

Caller in the 200 block of F Place, Kalona, requests assistance at a residence. Officer responded and assisted home owner.

Officer checking on a wanted subject in the 400 block of B Avenue, Kalona. Arrested Daniel Michael Thomas, 30, of Kalona, for violation of probation original charge driving while barred. Bond $2,000 cash only.

Caller in the 700 block of D Avenue, Kalona, reports his girlfriend’s mother shows up whenever she feels like it and causes problems and interferes with the children. She is the owner of the residence they live in. Officer spoke with the caller and advised to have the mother of the children call if she is having issue with her mother being out of line with her children.
