Report of a fire alarm, general water flow in the 500 block of 13th Street, Wellman. Also spoke with subject at the location who advised there was a water pipe that burst and it smells like electrical fire. Wellman Fire and Kalona Fire responded. No fire located. There was just an issue with the water pipes and a broken sprinkler head. Sprinkler system company and Alliant were contacted.
Caller is requesting a deputy’s assistance in the 100 block of South Sixth Street, Kalona, with getting belongings from his ex’s house. Female half called saying she was assaulted by the male last night. Officer responded and assisted. Multiple witnesses advised no assault occurred. Subject left with belongings.
Caller in the 600 block of Hickory Street, Riverside, reports her neighbor scooped all of his snow into her yard. Spoke with the caller and advised her this is a civil issue. She was also advised to contact the city about a snow removal complaint.
Caller reports a theft of his wallet on gaming floor last night. Wallet contained driver’s license, Social Security card, cash, credit and debit cards. Under investigation.
