Caller reports car versus snowplow at First Street and E Avenue, Kalona. Timothy Russell Smith and Kyle Nicholas Kron. Kron cited for no insurance accident related and failure to yield upon entering a through highway.
Caller in the 3000 block of Highway 22, Riverside, reports a pickup that the caller purchased on New Year’s Eve was stolen. The keys were inside. Officer responded. This will be a civil issue. There is no signed title. Caller will be requesting a civil standby to get his belongings out of other subject’s residence and the vehicle.
Caller requests a welfare check on three juveniles in Kalona going door to door in the neighborhood. Officer responded and was unable to locate.
Caller reports seeing flames in Ainsworth, possibly coming from the roof of a structure. Ainsworth Fire, Crawfordsville Fire, Washington Fire and Riverside Fire were all paged then disregarded. Ainsworth chief located no fire. There was a flag waving in front of a light with snow blowing making it appear like a flame.
