The Iowa State Association of Counties is hosting an illustrated essay contest for children age 12 and younger to express why counties matter. Submissions should include name, birthdate, address, grade/school, favorite hobbies, an illustration (must fit on 8.5 x 11” sheet of paper) and an essay of up to 500 words and should be sent to rbennet@iowacounties.org. Three winners will win a prize package and be included in the April issue of The Iowa County Magazine.
