IOWA CITY
Highland runners went to Iowa City Kickers on Thursday, Oct. 19 for a chance at state. The top 10 runners from each race would qualify and for Highland, no runners qualified.
But Siena Stanerson came very close. The sophomore earned a PR with a time of 22:08.8, and 11th place finish. She was 15 seconds behind the 10th place finisher who would qualify for state.
The boys team top finisher was Brock Thomann who placed 53rd with a time of 20:35.6. The boys team overall finished 13th of 13 with 332 points.
