WASHINGTON
Kellie Dallmeyer of Washington had five hits in two softball games against Mid-Prairie on Wednesday, including a pair of home runs that set a school single-season record.
Mid-Prairie junior first baseman Brittany Kinsinger had four hits in the two games. She drove in two runs and scored twice.
The Golden Hawks (9-28) scored four runs in the third inning of the second game to tie the score at 4-4, causing Washington coach Ben Obermann to call for a timeout and talk to all of his starters on the pitching mound. The Demons gave up just one run after that while scoring 11 times to finish off the win in five innings.
Myah Lugar, Gabi Robertson, Brenna Jehle, Kinsinger and designated runner DeLanee Patterson each scored runs for the Golden Hawks in Game 2.
Kinsinger drove home Landry Pacha with a run in Game 1.
