Four candidates have filed to fill the supervisors post vacated January 27 by Abe Miller, who cited “personal reasons” for leaving in the mid-point of his second term representing District 4 in the county.
Marcus Fedler of Ainsworth was nominated by the county Republican Party following a party convention. A Washington businessman, he previously ran for supervisor.
The three other candidates have no declared party affliction and are Johnathan Bartholomew of Brighton, Dwight Miller of Ainsworth and Joshua Schreiber of Washington.
All will be on the ballot for the special District 4 election set for March 2 in the Brighton City Hall.
The Washington Chamber of Commerce plans to hold a Meet the Candidates event later this month.
