Area residents are encouraged to donate blood at the Kalona Optimist Club Community Blood Drive on Monday, Jan. 11, from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kalona Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall at 902 6th Street.
People wishing to donate are required to make an appointment by reaching Donna Merck by phone at 319-430-5765 or email at donnamerck371@gmail.com or Deanna Poe at 319-330-5765 or deanna@kctc.net.
All donors will be required to wear a mask and are encouraged to eat and drink plenty of water before donating. Donors should also bring a photo ID. The last date potential donors could have donated elsewhere is Nov. 16, 2020.
