Mid-Prairie traveled to Williamsburg to compete in a 2A State Qualifier cross-country meet on Oct. 19.
Both the boys and girls teams qualified for State. The girls team won the team title with a first place score of 29. The boys team placed third with a score of 74.
This marks the ninth connsecutive season Mid-Prairie has had a girls team qualify for state and for the boys it is the fourth connecutive occurance.
Danielle Hostetler led the girls by placing first in 19:09. Emmett Swartzentruber led the boys by placing first in 16:12.
The 2023 Class 2A State championship meet will take place at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge on Oct. 28.
