The City of Kalona, partnering with the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP), is offering a drive-up popup food pantry Wednesday, Nov. 25 from 4-7 p.m at the Public Works building, 711 A Ave.
The city plans to have 200 boxes of assorted food items available to the public.
The public should come in off of 6th Street, go east to the shop and stay in their vehicle. Staff will be there to assist and load the boxes into cars.
Anyone unable to make it to the popup pantry can schedule a delivery by calling City Hall at 656-3210. Deliveries will be made the afternoon of Nov. 25.
City Hall lobby doors will remain locked and the building closed due to the rise of coronavirus cases in the area. Anyone wishing to donate food or funds to the popup pantry should call 656-2310 or 936-9354 to set up a drop-off time.
