A Kalona boy died Friday morning as the result of an accidental shooting.
Emergency units were called to the 1000 block of Kiwi Avene in Kalona around 10:20 a.m., Friday.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said that the boy was found dead at the home when first responders arrived.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office, Washington County Ambulance and Kalona first responders all responded to the scene.
Investigators have not released the name or age of the victim.
The sheriff's office said that the incident is still under investigation.
Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona is handling the arrangements.
