Caller in Wellman reports a semi trailer lost two large rolls onto the roadway and it is blocking traffic. Wellman Fire responded to assist with traffic control. Neighbor assisted with a forklift to remove the rolls of sheet metal from the roadway.
Caller in Kalona reports unoccupied van backed up across the highway and has stopped on top of a boulder Roadway is not blocked and it did not hit any other vehicles. There is alcohol and a dog inside the vehicle. Officers responded. Driver was negative for intoxication. Under $1,500 damage to vehicle. Will contact property owner on Monday to assist with pushing the boulder back. Documentation.
Caller in the 1100 block of E Place, Kalona, requests a deputy in reference to a civil dispute involving their children. Officer responded. Both parties were advised this was a civil matter and they need to go through the court system.
